Marco Graziani (Rijeka, 1988) began the violin at seven with Krunoslav Peljhan and from 2000 studied with Leonid Sorokow, graduating with a master's degree from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in 2010. He became an assistant there the same year and has led his own class since 2016. He has been concertmaster of the Zadar Chamber Orchestra since 2011, and from 2012 to 2016 held the same position at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
He has worked in masterclasses with Dora Schwarzberg, Pavel Vernikov, Pinchas Zukerman, Viktor Tretyakov, Gerhard Schulz and Zakhar Bron, studied at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and, through the Stauffer Foundation, with Salvatore Accardo in Cremona. He is a laureate of international competitions in Lisbon, Moscow, Astana and Vienna, and holder of the Stjepan Šulek and Ivo Vuljević awards.
As soloist and chamber musician he has appeared across Europe, Japan and Russia, performing with the Slovenian Philharmonic, the Kaunas Philharmonic, the Zagreb Philharmonic, the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra and the Zagreb Soloists. In 2011 he founded the Croatian String Quartet, and in 2014 received the Judith Award at the Split Summer Festival for Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.
