Antonija Jurin Starčević began the flute with Ivančica Ivko and Viktorija Conjar in Velika Gorica, continued at the Zlatko Baloković School of Music in Zagreb in the class of Mira Golčić, and graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in 2006 in the class of Marina Novak. She also holds a law degree from the University of Zagreb.
A winner of first and second prizes at state competitions, she has worked in masterclasses with P. Y. Artaud, H. Schmeiser, K. Zenz and others. Her performances include the concert marking the 85th birthday of Emil Cossetto, the final concert of the 50th anniversary of the wind department of the Zagreb Academy, the Beethoven 250 – Piano & Winds series, and the first complete performance of Saint-Saëns's chamber music for piano and winds in Split and Zagreb.
She co-founded the Nymphs Flute Quartet, first-prize winners of the National Competition of Chamber Ensembles and dedicatees of Tomislav Uhlik's Three Paraphrases. She has performed in Athens, Thessaloniki and Borovany, is a member of the Velika Gorica Chamber Ensemble, and has taught at the Franjo Lučić Art School since 2011, as professor mentor since 2018.
