Privacy policy

This site collects as little as possible. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no cookies are set for visitors who are not signed in. This page explains the few cases where personal data is processed.

Who is responsible

Krešimir Starčević, Zagreb, Croatia, is the controller of personal data processed through this website. For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights listed below, write to k.starcevic@yahoo.com.

The contact form

The form on the Contact page asks for your name, e-mail address and subject, and lets you add a message. When you send it, those details are e-mailed to the address above so that your enquiry can be answered. They are not stored in a database on this website and are not used for any mailing list.

The legal basis is your request itself — taking steps at your request before or during a working relationship, and the legitimate interest in replying to correspondence. Messages are kept in the mailbox for as long as the enquiry may still be relevant, and deleted when it is not. You are free to write directly to the same address instead of using the form.

The form includes a hidden field used only to detect automated submissions. It is invisible to people and collects nothing about you.

Video

Opening the Video page sends nothing to Google. Each recording is shown as a still frame stored on this site, with a note that it loads from YouTube; no player is present until you ask for one.

When you click a video, the page reloads and that single recording is embedded from youtube-nocookie.com, the privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no advertising cookies. From that moment your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, because the player is served by them. The other videos on the page remain still frames. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Album players

The Discography pages work the same way. Opening them sends nothing to Spotify: the sleeve artwork is stored on this site, and in place of a player there is a link marked as loading from Spotify.

When you click it, the page reloads and that one album is embedded from open.spotify.com. From that moment your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Spotify AB, because the player is served by them, and Spotify may set cookies within the player. Spotify’s handling of this data is described in the Spotify Privacy Policy.

Server logs

Like any website, this one runs on a server that keeps access logs: the IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser’s user agent. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure, they are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period, and they are not used to build any profile of visitors.

What this site does not do

• No analytics or measurement scripts of any kind.
• No advertising and no profiling.
• No cookies for visitors who are not signed in. Signed-in editors receive the usual WordPress session cookies.
• Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.
• Video thumbnails and album covers are stored here too, so browsing the Video and Discography pages contacts no one.
• No newsletter, and no personal data is sold or shared for marketing.

Who else sees the data

The website and its e-mail are operated by the hosting provider, which processes data on the controller’s behalf. Messages sent from the contact form arrive in a mailbox held with the e-mail provider. Beyond that, and beyond Google and Spotify in the two cases described under Video and Album players, data is not passed to anyone.

Photographs

Press photographs on the Photo page may be downloaded and used for concert programmes, festival brochures and press coverage, with the photographer credited. They may not be altered or used commercially beyond that.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for processing to be restricted, and you may object to processing or ask to receive your data in a portable form. Write to k.starcevic@yahoo.com and the request will be answered within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.

Changes

If the way this site handles data changes, this page changes with it. It was last revised in July 2026.
